A multi cultural editorial wedding in Positano by a wedding photographer in Italy — that’s how I’d describe Sophia and Brandon’s celebration. Every detail was curated, every image intentional, every moment built with clarity. Their Amalfi Coast wedding was not just about romance, it was about identity, beauty and meaning.
Sophia and Brandon, a couple from Washington DC, chose Positano for its timeless charm and cinematic light. Their wedding day wasn’t rushed or filled with distractions. It was designed to feel like a story. A story told through architecture, light, and presence.
As an editorial wedding photographer in Italy, I focused on the elegance of composition, the strength of stillness, and the honesty of their connection. From the early getting ready moments to the evening glow, every image was guided, never staged. Curated, but never stiff.
Sophia and Brandon changed into traditional hanboks during the day — a powerful and personal tribute to their cultural backgrounds. That moment alone made the entire wedding feel even more authentic and intimate.
Before that, they walked the cliffs of Positano in all white. Her minimal gown, his ivory jacket. Later, they shared a boat ride along the coast, drank limoncello, and even did some target shooting before joining guests for an intimate candlelit dinner.
Weddings like this are not about perfection. They’re about precision.
When you know what you want, and you strip everything else away, you’re left with something real. Not noisy, not crowded, not cliché.
Just light, fabric, hands, glances.
That’s what I look for as an editorial photographer.
And that’s what Positano gave us. A frame for something eternal.
